Please make your way to Stanley St bus stop located on the same side of Stanley St as the hotel and just beyond the corner of Sydney St. Journey along the edge of Lake Wakatipu, through Kingston and Mossburn to Te Anau. There is a morning tea stop here, to enjoy during the Milford Sound Cruise. Continue on through the Eglinton Valley to the Mirror Lakes, before following the "Avenue of the Disappearing Mountain", past Cascade Creek and Lake Gunn and on to The Divide. Proceed through the Hollyford Valley to the Homer Tunnel, a man-made tunnel cut out of the rock wall, to emerge into the Cleddau Valley, and on to Milford Sound. Join your Milford Sound Cruise to explore the wonder of this majestic fiord and see Mitre Peak, one of the highest mountains in the world to rise directly from the ocean floor. View the Stirling and the Bowen Falls as your cruise takes you out to the entrance of Milford Sound. Spot the seals and watch out for dolphins surfing the bow wave of the boat. After cruise, re-board your coach to further enjoy the scenery as you return to Queenstown via the same route. Picnic Lunch has been included. Today please dress warmly. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning. You will be collected from your hotel and taken for your trip to Franz Josef. Travel out of Queenstown through Frankton and past the AJ Hackett Bungy Bridge, the narrow Kawarau Gorge, you will have a brief stop at Cromwell for fruit. Travel alongside New Zealand's newest lake - Lake Dunstan and follow the shores of Lake Hawea and Wanaka to Makarora for a lunch break. Pass through the Haast Road and the Haast River Bridge to Knights Point. Soon you will come to the town of Franz Josef Glacier. Franz Josef Glacier is located in Westland National Park on the West Coast, 5 kilometres from Franz Josef Township. The Franz Josef Glacier offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience a dynamic glacial environment, in a temperate environment, while being within easy driving and walking distance from the main highway. In the last ice age the glacier extended in a huge ice - sheet to beyond the present coastline. Although Today's glacier has retreated considerably, echoes of it's frozen past are still apparent in the present landscape. The terminal face of the glacier is less than 300 metres above sea level and is just one of three to be this close to the coastline. Upon arrival at Franz Josef, you will be dropped off your hotel.

Travel north before passing through the timber mill town of Whataroa. Pass through the gold rush town of Ross, a stop will be made at Hokitika where time is available to view the Greenstone and Glass Blowing factories. Continue through Kumara Junction where the road to the East Coast heads off through the Southern Alps, before arriving in Greymouth. Upon arrival at Greymouth, please report to the Railway Station for your Tranz Alpine Train. Depart for Christchurch by Tranz Alpine Train. The "Garden City" of Christchurch, grew out of a planned Anglican settlement in the 1850's. Formal gardens, beautiful urban parks, a fine gothic cathedral and Victorian architecture further promote the English atmosphere of the city. The economic importance of the region concentrates on agriculture and related industries from the surrounding fertile Canterbury Plains. Upon arrival at Christchurch, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel.

The tour commences by covering the central city highlights including the botanical gardens, Museum and Art Centre, the Avon river, Bridge of Remembrance, the cities new pop up container mall and many other CBD highlights. Please note that the tour of the CBD can change daily due to road closures and new areas re-opening. On leaving the inner city, the tour travels to Mona Vale an historic homestead and gardens. Up to the Sign of the Takahe, an historic building providing spectacular views over the city, Canterbury Plains and the Southern Alps, then over the Port Hills to the Port of Lyttleton, through the harbour tunnel to the seaside suburb of Sumner and cave rock before returning to the central city where the tour will conclude. After the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel and rest of the Day is free for you to relax and explore Christchurch on your own.

Arrive at Rotorua Airport. Upon arrival at Rotorua Airport you will be met and transfer to your hotel. The region around Lake Rotorua was first settled by the descendants of the Arawa Canoe in the 14th Century. Located between two continental plates, the region is characterised by thermal activities. In 1886, the area was devastated by the eruption of Mt Tarawera, which destroyed the fabled Pink and White Terraces. Today, Rotorua remains one of New Zealand's premier tourist destinations. Evening is free for you to relax and explore Rotorua on your own.

The first stop is at Te Puia (formerly Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve and New Zealand Maori Arts & Crafts Institute). A guided tour takes you through the Institute where the traditional crafts or flax weaving and woodcarving is passed down from generation to generation by tribal elders. Enjoy a tour of the Thermal Reserve, viewing the many boiling mud pools, hot springs and geysers. A short drive takes you Rainbow Springs, a world of beautiful native bush walks amid clear spring-fed pools and streams teeming with Rainbow and Brown Trout. A chance to view native and exotic wildlife. See the world famous Agrodome Leisure Park. A must see stage show starring New Zealand's 19 breeds of sheep, sheep shearing and dog trails. Enjoy a guided tour through the spectacular Waitomo Caves including an underground boat ride (admission included). Please note rain can affect water levels in the cave, which may result in a shortened tour. Re-board Coach and travel further via Ngaruawahia, home of the Maori King, to arrive in Auckland. Located on an isthmus, Auckland is nestled between the Pacific Ocean and Tasman Sea. The Ngati Whatua Maori tribe dominated the region until the arrival of European settlers in 1820. Auckland has quickly grown to become New Zealand's largest city, with a large Polynesian community, and affectionately known as the "City of Sails". Visit the Viaduct Harbour and Auckland's famous Queen St before continuing on throughthe Auckland Domain. With its classic charm the Auckland Domain is the city's oldest and one of its largest parks, situated on a 62,000 year old volcano. After your visit to the Domain, continue on to Parnell Village for your afternoon tea stop. The historic buildings of Parnell have been transformed in to a trendy shopping area featuring many boutiques, antique, craft and specialty shops. Following this, the tour will then take you along the stunningly scenic waterfront route of Tamaki Drive to the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park, in Mission Bay. Michael Savage is often regarded as one of New Zealand's greatest and revered Prime Ministers, and was given the title of 'New Zealander of the Century' by the New Zealand Herald in 1999. The memorial Park has beautiful panoramic views over Whenua Rangatira, Auckland city and Waitemata Harbour. This park is a popular wedding venue, with its formal gardens and tranquil atmosphere.
